RIVERDALE, NY – The Manhattan Jaspers Women's Basketball team and Head Coach
Heather Vulin have announced the signing of graduate guard Elisa Solé Sánchez ahead of the 2025-26 season.

"She can score and get to the basket when needed, rebounds well for a guard and takes pride in her defense. I was immediately impressed with her athleticism and how hard she plays defensively. Elisa will be an integral part of our team next season."
Sánchez, a 5-7 guard from Barcelona, Spain, spent the last two seasons with the Valkyries of Converse University on the Division II circuit in South Carolina. She logged a combined 56 games on the floor for the Valkyries, and recorded 48 starts.
While competing for Converse during the 2024-25 campaign, Sánchez was one of five Valkyries to play in all 28 contests and paced her team in scoring averaging 11.1 points-per-game, totaling 311 points. From the field, Sánchez converted on 37.1 percent of her attempts, while accumulating a 70.4 percentage from the charity-stripe.
Additionally, the Spaniard corralled the second-best number of rebounds with 125 in total, while assisting on 72 baskets.
During her junior season, and first year as a member of Converse, Sánchez started in all but two games on the campaign totaling 690 minutes on the floor, shooting 41.5 percent from the field, and logging 24.4 percent from distance. Sánchez sat second in scoring average with 9.5 points per-game.
Before arriving in South Carolina, Sánchez starred on the floor and in the classroom at Northwest Kansas Technical College on the JUCO circuit. Subsequently leading to being named a Third Team Academic All-American. On the court, Sánchez tallied 200 total points, 100 assists, 80 rebounds, and started in 18 games out of 27 entered.
To open her collegiate career, the Barcelona native entered the JUCO circuit at Murray State College in Oklahoma, tallying 132 points, 91 assists, and 54 rebounds.
Prior to landing stateside, Sánchez played guard for three different squads including Femení Maresme (2015-16), Unió Esportiva Mataró (2016-19), and AE Boet Mataró (2019-21). The latter was the second major senior league in the entire nation of Spain.
Sánchez will be pursuing her Masters in Business Administration in Riverdale.
