PRINCETON, NJ – The Manhattan College men's track & field team completed competition at the IC4A Outdoor Championships on Sunday afternoon.  John Dove (Monroe, NY) ran in the final of the 1500 meters, while Dennis Eriksson (Sundsvall, Sweden) and Bobby Gebhard (Saddle River, NJ) took part in the triple jump at Princeton University's Weaver Stadium.

Dove, who qualified for the final by posting a time of 3:1.24 in his preliminary heat on Saturday, finished 12th overall with a 4:08.05 clocking.  In the triple jump, Eriksson placed 14th with a leap of 14.28 meters (46 feet, 10¼ inches) and Gebhard was 16th with a mark of 14.22 m (46'8).

With eight points in the team standings, Manhattan ended up tied for 30th place.  The women's squad, meanwhile, collected four points in the ECAC Championships, which was good for a 44th-place tie.

Manhattan returns to action on Monday at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet.  The competition represents the final opportunity for athletes to register qualifying marks for the NCAA East Preliminary Round and U.S. Junior Championships.
