NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Manhattan College men's 4x400 squad as well as both team's weight throwers competed in the 115th Milrose Games this weekend.
For the men,
RJ Decker finished in fourth in the weight throw, finishing with a top throw of 18.95m as the only Jasper to advance to the finals. The other Jaspers to compete were
Myron Corpuz, who finished in 10th with a mark of 15.75, and
Joseph Pelio finished in 12th with a throw of 14.77.
In the women's weight throw,
Kristin Stickdorn qualified for the final round and finished in fifth, with a top mark of 17.74.
Alexandra Caraher just missed the final round, finishing in sixth with a best of 17.47.
Mary Gill finished the event in ninth place with a final mark of 16.45.
In the men's 4x400, the relay squad of
Harrison Alonzo,
Noah Jefferson,
Andrew Simard, Brian Odour finished in second, barely being edged out the team from NJIT, with the Jaspers crossing the finish line in 3:18.33 while the NJIT team finished in 3:17.73.
Manhattan returns to action next week for the Indoor MAAC Championships at The Armory from Feb. 18-19.
