Brandon Grinnell became the second Jasper to be named MAAC Rookie of the Week after scoring
three goals with an assist and three ground balls over two games last week. The Massachusetts native found the back of the net twice at CAA stalwart Delaware before adding a goal, an assist and two ground balls against UMass Lowell. On the year, Grinnell has seven goals, five assists and 13 ground balls and is the second Jasper to take home Rookie of the Week honors after freshman Trevor Pelletier previously did so.
MAAC OPENERSManhattan will be looking for its first win in a MAAC opener since besting VMI 16-10 on March 26, 2011. All-time, the Jaspers are 7-14 in MAAC lidlifters.

On the season, he is fourth in the MAAC and 27th nationally with 2.57 goals per game and sixth in the league and 59th nationally with 3.43 points each time out.
LEADING THE WAYJunior Joseph Bressingham converted 10-of-17 face-off attempts with Detroit Mercy with five ground balls. On the year, he leads the MAAC and ranks 12th nationally with 7.0 ground balls per game while Manhattan is first in the league and 15th nationally with 30.7 ground balls.

CJ Scharf has notched at least one assist in all seven games, including two three times, and paces the squad with 10 helpers after handing out one against UMass Lowell.

Eugene Tanner, '05 was inducted into the Manhattan College Athletic Hall of Fame this past winter. Tanner is the Jaspers' all-time leader in assists (89) and points (186), while his 98 career goals are second-most all-time.
