PISCATAWAY, N.J. - The Manhattan golf team carded a team score of 308 (+24) on Day 2 of the Rutgers Fall Invitational on Saturday. The mark is the squad's lowest of any of the three rounds of the tournament.

Junior James Edgeworth turned in the low score for Manhattan, with a final round 75 (+4). The Staten Island native also had the low 3-round total of 231 (+18).

Manhattan placed 18th in the tournament, but three other Jaspers posted scores in the 70s in Round 3. Freshman Charles Seward improved upon his best score from Day 1 by five strokes, hitting a 76 (+5) in Round 3. Senior Mike Schutsky and junior Ross Ketner concluded Day 2 with rounds of 78 (+7) and 79 (+8), respectively.

Wofford College, which sat in 7th place after Round 1 and 4th after two rounds of play, came storming back in Saturday's final round to overtake Wagner, Fairfield and the host school, Rutgers, to earn first place in the tournament. Wofford finished with a team score of 859 (+7), one stroke ahead of Rutgers, three strokes ahead of Fairfield and nine in front of Wagner.

The Jaspers return to action on Friday, Sept. 26, when they compete in the Tuxedo Autumn Invitational.
