Saturday Recap 

BOSTON - Felix Siljeback-Larsen (Vasteras, Sweden) of the Manhattan College men's track & field team captured the silver medal in the heptathlon at the IC4A Championships from Boston University's Track & Tennis Center on Sunday.  Siljeback-Larsen, whose personal-record score of 5402 points was the third best total in school history, finished just 61 points out of first.

Siljeback-Larsen's silver medal was the highlight of the second and final day of competition at IC4A's.  Also scoring points for the Jaspers on Sunday were Mikael Rojeras (Sala, Sweden) with a seventh-place finish in the 1000 meters (2:26.34) and Colin Quirke (Los Gatos, Calif.), who finished eighth in the shot put with a toss of 16.15 meters (53 feet).  Tobias Lundgren (Alta, Sweden) posted a personal-best time of 14:32.39 in the 5000 meters, good enough for 14th place.  Overall, Manhattan tied for 14th in the team standings with 21 points.  Connecticut collected 73.5 points to claim the team title.

The women's ECAC Championships were held across town at the Reggie Lewis Center, and Manhattan's Ashley Bowman (Elmont, N.Y.) finished 13th in the 200 meters (24.94).  Manhattan tied for 29th in the women's team standings with eight points.  Connecticut also easily won the women's title, garnering 96.5 points.

The ECAC/IC4A Championships concluded the indoor season.  The Jaspers begin the outdoor season at the Baldy Castillo Invitational in Tempe, Ariz., on March 18-19.
