New Haven, CT (May 15, 2004)-The men's Track & Field Team is currently holding on to first place at the IC4A Championships held at Yale University held in New Haven, CT. The Jaspers have earned 37 points after the third day, 13 points ahead of second place Iona. Manhattan's top performer today was Thomas Jacob Freeman who earned first place in the Hammer Throw throwing 66.92m.
Zoran Loncar finished right behind Freeman placing second after his fifth toss of 62.86m. Anders Constantin took third place after his throw of 60.86m. Finishing 25th in the Hammer Throw was Dan Gazzola throwing 50.91m.
Magnus Ahlen jumped to seventh place in the Long Jump with his leap of 7.41m. Also in the Long Jump Janek Augustynowicz placed eighth after his jump of 7.37m. Loncar took 15th place in the Discus with his toss of 47.08m. Tyler Raymond finished 24th in the 1500m finishing in 3:53.30, while teammate Matt Reilly followed close behind capturing 27th place in a time of 3:55.80. The 4x800m relay team, Tyler Raymond, Todd Raymond, Reilly and Joshua Conklin, took tenth place (7:40.24).
At the 2004 ECAC Championships, Therese Forsberg placed ninth in the1500m finishing in a time of 4:30.71. In the Pole Vault Jenna Daly leaped 3.45m in the Pole Vault.
The fourth and final day of competition is tomorrow at Yale University in New Haven, CT.
