Jason Wingate '06 enters his first season as coordinator of men's basketball operations at Manhattan College. Wingate was a key member of the Jaspers' teams which advanced to the postseason in three of his four years in Riverdale. He comes back to Manhattan after spending the past four seasons playing professionally in Puerto Rico within the Baloncesto Superior Nacional (BSN) league.

Wingate scored 973 points over his four years in Riverdale helping the Jaspers to two MAAC Championships and NCAA Tournament berths. The New York City native ranks 4th all-time with an 82.7% career free-throw percentage and is 6th in program history with 334 assists. Wingate was a part of two of the program's biggest postseason victories upsetting Florida in the 2004 NCAA Tournament, and his 21 points helped send the Jaspers past Maryland in the 2006 National Invitational Tournament. Wingate, a two-time team captain, started 98 of 121 appearances and logged a 40% career 3-point shooting mark. Wingate ranks in the top-10 of the Jaspers' list for free-throws made and he finished his career with 106 steals.

Over his four seasons in the BSN, Wingate scored 333 points, dished out 152 assists and grabbed 76 rebounds. Wingate played in 77 games during his professional career, including 30 with Carolina Gigantes in 2009 where he finished the year ranked in the top-15 of the league for assists.
